VEHICLE SHOWN IS NOT THE ACUTAL PRIZE

Commonwealth of Virginia Charitable Gaming Permit #G1703347053471

Proceeds to benefit Families of the Wounded Fund and Friends of Barnabas Foundation and other charities.

The Families of the Wounded Fund directs 100% of donations and the net proceeds from its events to assist families who come from across the nation to help their loved ones heal. In previous wars, wounded service members were treated close to home. Today, care is given by the very best center possible, regardless of location. This has resulted in severe hardship for families who must travel far from home and remain with a wounded family member for weeks at a time.

Many of the combat wounded soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are treated at McGuire Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia - a top treatment center for head and spinal cord injuries.

Friends of Barnabas was Founded by a United Methodist minister who felt called to help the poor of the world and saw a need for enabling volunteers in mission, the Friends of Barnabas Foundation began helping those in need in 2000 under the direction of its founder, Reverend Linwood Cook.

During the inaugural years, Reverend Cook and his son Matt laid the foundation for the organization which exists today.  From simple mission trips to dispense Vitamin A and anti-parasite medications to children, the trips expanded to include general medicine, eye, and dental clinics to the poor communities in the remote mountain regions of central Honduras.

In order to reach those children with medical needs beyond the care that could be provided by traveling mission teams, the Extended Care Program for children was developed and housed at the Barnabas House, a permanent place of healing established in Pena Blanca.

FOB’s staff work diligently alongside a dedicated group of volunteers and missioners to serve the people of Honduras, making the world a little better…one child at a time.

Soon FOB added surgical mission teams focusing on cardiac, oral and maxillofacial, and neurological cases, and a full-time clinic.  Today FOB’s programs address each component of the Honduran healthcare system, from community based programs to system wide endeavors.

Thank you for your support!
